Hi, I'm Frankie
My research explores how landscapes can foster meaningful connections between people and nature, with a particular focus on wellbeing. Most recently, I have researched business owners’ action to engage with biodiversity priorities. My PhD at the University of Sheffield explored how tailored engagement with urban nature can enhance the mental health of university students.
My work
Through Blooming Research, I simplify complexity—designing workshops, multimedia outputs, and strategies that foster meaningful knowledge exchange. I’ve led initiatives, mentored, and co-developed grant bids with international partners. With a collaborative style and global reach, I manage projects, deliver high-quality content and build lasting partnerships that deliver impact.

To create impact with my own research, I edited and published a short book which creatively showcased biodiversity research stories from across the University of Exeter. I have had the privilege of being part of a British Council ‘Connections Through Culture 2024’ grant project in Malaysia, expanding my impact in cross-cultural and multi-media nature based dialogue.
Alongside undertaking research, I am interested in how research has an impact. This originates from my work across policy, research and the charitable sector.
